This privacy policy applies to the ReadList mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"). ReadList is currently offered as a free offline utility, without requiring account registration or server-based data sync.
ReadList is designed with privacy in mind. All your book tracking data — including reading status, collections, and notes — is stored locally on your device.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information, and your activity within the app remains private unless explicitly shared by you.
The app may access the following features during normal use:
Your data is not uploaded or transmitted elsewhere unless we introduce optional features in the future with clear opt-in mechanisms.
Data stored by ReadList is used only to help you manage your personal reading experience. We do not use it for analytics, tracking, or advertising purposes.
To support search functionality, ReadList uses the public Open Library API to fetch book metadata. Only non-personal search queries (e.g., book titles or authors) are sent to their servers.
At present, ReadList does not use third-party SDKs, advertising frameworks, or analytics services. If this changes in the future, it will be clearly communicated and subject to user consent.
Because data is stored locally and no remote account is required, your reading history remains secure and under your control. If cloud features are introduced, we will take steps to ensure your data is handled safely.
This privacy policy may be updated occasionally to reflect app improvements or feature additions. Any significant changes will be reflected here, and users will be notified where appropriate.
