This privacy policy is applicable to the Halal Scanner mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the "Application"). The Application is provided as a free utility with no account registration, no login, and no backend server.
Halal Scanner is built as a privacy-focused product scanner that works entirely offline. It does not require an account, and does not collect or send any personal data.
All scan history, settings, and image data are stored only on your device. There is no cloud backup or remote access to your data.
The Application may access the following only when used:
None of this information is ever transmitted, stored externally, or shared with third parties.
All data is used locally to provide results such as product names, ingredients, and halal analysis. Image data and scan history never leave your device.
No. Halal Scanner does not integrate any third-party SDKs, ads, analytics, or tracking systems. It operates fully offline.
Since no user data is sent over the internet or stored remotely, the Application is highly secure by design. You retain full control over all information.
Halal Scanner offers optional premium features available through auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscriptions and payments are processed securely through the Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store, depending on your device. We do not have access to your payment information. All billing, free trial handling, renewals, and cancellations are managed directly by Google or Apple.
Some subscription plans may include a free trial. Once the trial ends, your chosen subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel before the trial period expires. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store (for iOS) or Google Play account settings. Deleting the Application does not automatically cancel your subscription.
All refund requests are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device. Halal Scanner cannot issue refunds directly.
This privacy policy may be updated occasionally. Changes will be reflected within the Application. Please review this document periodically.
If you make in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play, we may share limited information with Apple or Google via our payment partner, RevenueCat, to help process refund requests. This may include non-personal details about your purchase and how you accessed the purchased content.
By making in-app purchases, you consent to this limited sharing of consumption data with Apple or Google solely for the purpose of processing refund decisions, in compliance with their respective privacy and refund policies.
