By downloading, accessing, or using the FeatherScan mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "the App"), you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App

The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the App or attempt to interfere with its operation.

2. Data and Privacy

All data processed by the App is stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit any personal information or scanned bird data to external servers. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.

3. Scan Accuracy and Disclaimer

While FeatherScan aims to provide helpful guidance in identifying bird species, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the results. Bird appearances can vary significantly depending on region, lighting, and photo quality. We recommend verifying results with trusted ornithological sources or experts when in doubt.

The App is intended as an educational tool and should not be solely relied upon for scientific, conservation, or commercial decisions.

3a. Species Likelihood Disclaimer

FeatherScan provides the most likely bird species predictions based on image analysis, but this is by no means a definitive identification. Many birds share similar traits, and environmental factors or image angles may affect the prediction.

Users should treat the suggested species as possible matches and consult trusted bird identification guides or experts for confirmation.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within the App are the property of the developer and are protected under applicable copyright laws.

5. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages, misidentifications, or consequences arising from the use or misuse of the App, including but not limited to incorrect species recognition or behavioral suggestions.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

FeatherScan may offer premium features through in-app purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions. By making a purchase, you agree to the applicable payment terms of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You may manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
• If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited once a subscription is purchased.
• Refunds and billing are handled directly by Apple and Google. Please refer to their policies for details.

By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to the terms and policies of the relevant app marketplace (Apple or Google). For subscription-related questions, contact us at support@onerack.eu.

7. Data Sharing for Purchases and Refunds

If you make in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play, we may share limited information with Apple or Google via our payment partner, RevenueCat, to help process refund requests. This may include non-personal details about your purchase and how you accessed the purchased content.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes implies your acceptance of the updated terms.
